New beginnings for SEO!

With the New Year comes new beginnings and Position Gold, as well as SEO has a lot of new ideas planned for the New Year. Many of them are ideas to be continued on from 2008, however, they are the much revamped and improved ideas that are in place to make sure that the SEO industry continues to thrive and that all of our clients, websites and campaigns continue to be successful within the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages).

There are many different things that we are going to be focusing on in the New Year, including excessive White Hat SEO techniques, improved and keyword rich content and just an overall improvement in our SEO methods and services.

Improved content

By generating content that is hugely factual, large in size and depth, well linked together (using hyper links) and packed with keywords, adhering to the white hat SEO keyword density guidelines. By ensuring that the content is as high in quality as possible, you are giving the website the greatest chance within the SERPs

I’ll have a Tall, Frothy, White Hat SEO to go please!

White Hat SEO, in the SEO industry, really is the only way to go. There are other methods, such as black hat SEO methods, however, they really aren’t worth it as WHEN (not IF) you get caught, your website will face some very harsh and costly punishments. Such as removal of PageRank, a drop from within the SERPs, a total ban on your website which results in removal from the search engines in relevant keyword search terms and even a total omittance from the search engines all together, which really is not good at all! It really is vital that your website practices White Hat SEO techniques and methods, if you are offered high rankings in next to no time, then the chances are that black hat SEO techniques would be used in order to do so, so keep right and stay white!

Tips To Watch Out For Unethical Search Engine Optimisation

Within this blog i will be discussing unethical techniques and I’ll give you some tips to watch out for when increasing your online presence within search engine optimisation.

Search Engine Optimisation isn’t just an over-night job, that you will see changes and improvements almost immediately, it takes time and patience to see the desired results that you expect to see for your website. Although there are set guidelines to follow such as Googles webmaster guidelines, you still can’t develop the ways that google work to rank your website.

The good Search Engine optimisation companies out there are set to follow the guidelines and use ethical practices on your website to increase your traffic flow and ensure you get ranked highly within the search engines, by using unethical ways not only will your website be penalised by search Engines such as Google or yahoo, you are running the risk of getting your website banned off Google or yahoo forever, this would then be a costly and time consuming process to put back right again, thats why it is essential to use the aid of a good reputable SEO company that want to use ethical techniques to ensure that you get page one rankings for your website.

Some tips to watch out for unethical practices are:

Keyword stuffing - this is used so that your keywords will be repeated unnecessary in your content just so the search engine spiders will pick up on this and rank you highly for those particular keyword’s.

Irrelevant Link Exchange - This is when websites establish reciprocal links with irrelevant websites - solely to increase the number of links they may have.

Page swapping- This is a highly unethical way and if caught doing so search engines will ban your website forever, this is wear a webmaster will copy a page from a high ranking website, changes the title and meta tags then submits the page to the search engines, Once a ranking has been obtained they will change it for one of there own web pages.

Hidden Text - Where they use white text on a white background, here websites can hide keyword stuffing so its unseen to a visitors eyes so the website still looks attractive yet is hiding those all important keywords.

When you are choosing which Internet Marketing company to choose, look around carefully to ensure that you have chosen one that is going to practice ethical techniques on your website therefore to make your website organically grow in a way that the search engines would like it to, As oppose to using a Rogue SEO trader that in the long run will cause more damage then good by practicing unethical techniques, you probably would see much quicker results using unethical methods but eventually once caught you have created a whole host of problems for your website. Using ethical techniques is a way for your website to organically grow within the search engines in the correct way for your business to see results for a long time.
