The end of the world as SEO knows it- Part 2
In the first installment of this two part blog, we spoke about the Large Hadron Collider, explaining what and where it is, what it plans to do and what it plans to achieve. We also briefly mentioned how the LHC will carry out its experiments. In this blog we will fully explain how the LHC works and just what happened inside the tunnel.
Two particles were accelerated around the 17km long circular tunnel, steadily increasing to 0.01% below the speed of light. The particles were then propelled, untill they hit each other. There were four collisions at different points around the tunnel, with the scientists making intricate equations to ensure the particles hit one another. The scientists likened the collisions to firing two needles at each other from 10km away and them hitting, Its very complex stuff.
