There is more work than there are SEOs!

Over the last few weeks, I have read a number of articles/forums, where SEO companies have been slinging mud at each other. My advice is to stop slinging mud and concentrate on your client. Google CEO Eric Schmidt recently said that the internet is “a cesspool”, now if that doesn’t say that there is lots of work out there, then nothing does. Now if this is the case, arn’t white hat SEO’s, Googles’ front line soldiers, turning this mess called the internet, from a cesspool, into at least a portaloo!?

With the global ression in full swing, more people will turn to the internet, as E-commerse has cheaper overheads, even when paying for an SEO agency to aid the websites ranking, than a high street shop. For starters, a high shop has a lease to pay for, therefore the cheapest deal will be found online, indicating the internet will boom in a recession, plus the user market of the internet is still growing, not everyone are online yet and there is still some way to go.

So what do SEOs do to help the internet I hear you say ? Well its worth pointing out at this point, that there are two types of SEO, white hat and black hat. Black hat SEOs are one of the main reasons that the internet is a cesspool. They use methods to trick the search engines into ranking them higher. Fortunately, if you are employing a reputable SEO agency, they aren’t going to use any of these methods because if they did, when your site finally gets banned, you would sue them. What white hat SEOs do or should do, is bring your website into line with the Google standards and create a online buzz around your brand. There by getting you links I.e referrals. This in turn aids Google to identify your site as having a good reputation and being user and search engine friendly which it will then reward you for, by giving you higher rankings, hence the need for white hat SEO. Google would never admit it, but it needs white hat SEOs, if we are are ever going to get the internet to a standard for which it was built.
