New beginnings for SEO!

With the New Year comes new beginnings and Position Gold, as well as SEO has a lot of new ideas planned for the New Year. Many of them are ideas to be continued on from 2008, however, they are the much revamped and improved ideas that are in place to make sure that the SEO industry continues to thrive and that all of our clients, websites and campaigns continue to be successful within the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages).

There are many different things that we are going to be focusing on in the New Year, including excessive White Hat SEO techniques, improved and keyword rich content and just an overall improvement in our SEO methods and services.

Improved content

By generating content that is hugely factual, large in size and depth, well linked together (using hyper links) and packed with keywords, adhering to the white hat SEO keyword density guidelines. By ensuring that the content is as high in quality as possible, you are giving the website the greatest chance within the SERPs

I’ll have a Tall, Frothy, White Hat SEO to go please!

White Hat SEO, in the SEO industry, really is the only way to go. There are other methods, such as black hat SEO methods, however, they really aren’t worth it as WHEN (not IF) you get caught, your website will face some very harsh and costly punishments. Such as removal of PageRank, a drop from within the SERPs, a total ban on your website which results in removal from the search engines in relevant keyword search terms and even a total omittance from the search engines all together, which really is not good at all! It really is vital that your website practices White Hat SEO techniques and methods, if you are offered high rankings in next to no time, then the chances are that black hat SEO techniques would be used in order to do so, so keep right and stay white!

Seven Things To Take Into Account When Creating A New Site

Here at Position Gold we have qualified web designers to create a website that not only looks good but also complies with the standards that are set out, we believe in working closely with you to provide a good quality search engine friendly site that turns visitors into customers for you. By using our services we ensure that you will receive a complete web design service. Within this blog I will discuss seven things to take into account when creating a new website.

To be able to create a website you need to understand at least the very basics of html;

HTML is the hyper text language used within web design and its the language which is made up of codes that generate text, images, sounds and animation on your website.

Title Tag is one of the most important benefactors as it gets displayed in the search engine results, therefore it is key to ensure you use the correct keywords as the title tag actually attracts visitors to view your website.

Meta Tags - which is related to the on page optimisation, some search engines look closely at this so to ensure the correct usage of these is really important for your ranking within some search engines.

Content - is paramount to ensure that your website is ranked highly by the search engines - if you don’t use the keywords to there full potential you are potentially putting your website under considerable review by the search engines as they won’t consider your website as important to other related websites that have made use of the keywords for the product/service in which you are offering. Ensure that you are constantly putting fresh, good quality content on your website every day - this will ensure high rankings within the search engines.

Internal Linking - When people look at optimising there website to obtain the best possible results they tend to overlook internal linking even though it is one of the most important factors for ranking within the search engines, good internal linking to relevant sites to your own website can help boost your online presence its also a great way to pass on page rank to linked pages.

URL Structure - This helps your website to achieve a higher ranking within the search engines, as if you use the key words within the url’s it will actually help boost the rankings for those particular keywords

Quality Of Links - When creating your own website please remember quality of links as oppose to quantity of links, quality is much more important when you are adding links to your website.
Link to websites that have relevance to your own site and you can’t go far wrong, otherwise your website may become spammy whereby there are links that don’t bear any relevance to your own website therefore a total waste of time.

There are many other factors that you need to be aware of when creating your own website, if you need help or would like us to give you a free no obligation quote to design a great website then please don’t hesitate to contact us for further information.
